For our upcoming July 14th program we will feature author Betsy Davidson as our featured speaker, and her presentation will be about her forthcoming book about furniture maker John Spitler, entitled: “Shenandoah’s Page Valley Style: the Painted Furniture of John Spitler, 1790-1806” .
An independent decorative arts historian, Betsy is a 2004 graduate of the MESDA Summer Institute program and graduated in 2008 from Parsons The New School for Design, New York City and the Smithsonian, Washington, D.C. program with an M.A. in the History of Decorative Arts and Design.
