Annual Tool Show and Auction

The 2026 PATINA Tool Show and Auction will be held Saturday March 14, 2026, at the Damascus Maryland Volunteer Fire Association Activity Center at 10211 Lewis Drive, Damascus, Maryland, 20874.  The 2025 event was heavily attended, causing many long-time members and dealers to comment that it may have been the largest in our history!!!

With the end of major tool events in Nashua and elsewhere, we believe we have the largest tool swap in the country!  Attendees at our March 2025 tool show came from Maine, Wisconsin, Florida, Tennessee and in between!

Our Dealer Tool Sale and Auction is held rain or shine, wind or snow and is open with free admission to the general public. It consists of tailgating (Friday and Saturday outside), as well as a dealer tool sale and a tool auction (Saturday inside Hall). Inside the hall, the vendors/dealers set up in the first two thirds of the building and the auction in the last 1/3.  If the weather cooperates, tailgaters, inside dealers and auction tables cover a half mile of tools!  Tailgate setup is free for sellers, but a nominal ($15) donation to the club to help cover facility costs is appreciated.  This donation will also cover yearly membership of the club if you desire. Several tailgaters arrive on Friday; the majority arrive during the early morning on Saturday.

For those wishing to shop for and buy tools, admission to the hall is free starting at 8am Saturday morning.  The club offers early bird entrance; for $20 a shopper can enter during setup day (Friday 3/13) from noon to 6pm, as well as enter an extra hour early (7am) Saturday the day of the show.  Early bird entrance also allows eligibility for a $50 gift card raffle, held on Saturday.  You do not need to be present to win so long as you are eligible.

For vendors wishing to sell tools, it seems that cold weather and threats of snow forecasted during recent past shows have increased interest by several outdoor sellers to choose to come inside to the hall.  The INDOOR Vendor selling area will likely fill up fast. 

INDOOR table selling also allows early access to other inside sellers and their goods on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning before the Hall opens. 

To reserve indoor space, sellers considering the move INSIDE the hall should make reservations soon.  Please see the attachments below and reach out to Dave Murphy at murphydave1898@gmail.com. if interested.

For those interested in bidding in our auction, lots are open for inspection all day on March 14. The lots usually feature antique tools, planes, chisels and the like but can also have general user tools, miscellaneous antiques, collectables, signs and even some scientific-type pieces.  PATINA club members, vendors and public attendees all bid on lots they desire.

PATINA auctions feature vintage tools from virtually all aspects of the tool spectrum.  We love vintage mechanics and machinist tools, too! If you have vintage Snap-on, MAC, Starrett, Brown and Sharpe or Mitutoyo tools you'd like to consign, please contact us!!

Our auction takes place on the same day as the dealer tool sale and starts at 1:00 pm. We are thankful to the PATINA members and families as well as other parties who have donated items for consignment.

As always at our PATINA tool shows and auctions, you do not need to be a club member to attend or bid on any auction items and there is never a buyer’s premium.  The auction is completely live.  There is no on-line or phone bidding.
